Iran’s attorney general calls on the members of the UN General Assembly not to be indifferent to an Israeli genocide against the Palestinians.
Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi was quoted as saying by IRNA on Wednesday that the fate of the Palestinians as well as their case should be followed up in The Hague.
“The president of the United Nations General Assembly can urge The Hague to pursue the genocide of the Palestinian people by Israel,” he said on the sidelines of the Conference of Prosecutors of Islamic States.
“Why were bombs and weapons sent to Israel during its three-week attack on the Gaza Strip while the defenseless Palestinians were deprived of food and medicine?” he asked.
According to UN officials, most Israeli actions against the shell-shocked population “appear to have all the elements of war crimes”. >>>
A representative to the Leader says Iran has gathered ‘thousands of documents’ which testify to Israeli atrocities in Palestine.
Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour, the Leader’s representative for Palestinian affairs, said the Iranian Judiciary has gathered abundant evidence of Israeli war crimes in Gaza since Tehran hosted an international conference in support of Palestinians in March.
Mohtashamipour was the Secretary-General of the International Conference of Quds and Support for the Rights of the Palestinian Nation, which condemned Israel’s three-week offensive against Gaza and called for lifting the blockade on the war-torn strip.
He said the evidence included ‘thousands of documents, images and videos depicting Israeli crimes and added, “Each one of them is enough evidence for prosecuting Israeli officials.”
His remarks come as Tehran hosted the two-day international conference of Islamic prosecutors with the aim of exposing the war crimes committed by Israelis against Gazans. >>>
